Beginning Bells
Began studying music at age 6, launching her on a trajectory that included several lead roles with Humboldt Light Opera, California State University, Long Beach Summer Opera, and Humboldt University. Ms. Elam earned a B.A. in Music, with Honors, with a focus on voice, from Humboldt State University. While in Fresno, she performed singing roles with Second Space Theater and Good Company Players, while also accompanying the Junior Company Players. In addition, she was a vocal coach on nine musical
theater productions for Good Company Players. Ms. Elam conducted a children’s choir at First Covenant Church in San Francisco and has remained busy as a soloist, including regular engagements at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, where she is active in the choral and bell programs.
